Facing a tough situation of being a widow after her husband’s death in an accident,
Hamdeya knew she had to take some serious decisions to be able to continue with her life.
She started selling nuts through a small outlet and with the help of DBACD, She got a loan
and started dealing in cattle, agricultural goods, transportation and even communications
as she sub rents a mobile phone for one of her fellow villagers.
Hamdeya’s work took a different lead when DBACD discovered her talent and employed her
as a female loan officer in Bashayer El-Kheir Program which helped her learn reading,
writing and how to use a calculator as well as learning how to keep on her children’s
education. She even bought a piece of land and now dreams of securing a safe, bright
future for her Children.
